2026 Courage Gala in Review

Glenrose Foundation's 2026 Courage Gala event setup with sponsor banners and stage.

Thanks to the generous support of our community, this year’s Courage Gala raised over $1.6 million toward the redevelopment of the Glenrose therapeutic pool.

On April 18, the Edmonton Convention Centre came alive as our community gathered for the 2026 Courage Gala, with our first-time presenting sponsor, the Radostits Family.

Their 9D4A8384 1 connection to the Glenrose runs deep. The late Mary Agnes Radostits, wife of Ivan Radostits, was a passionate champion of the hospital, both as a physiotherapist and as a founding board member of the Glenrose Hospital Foundation. The family’s legacy spans building rehabilitation spaces to supporting innovations like the robotic carver, and most recently, supporting the redevelopment of the hospital’s therapeutic pool at the Gala.

Highlights

Notable Guests

The evening brought together an incredible group of community leaders and supporters, including several notable guests. We were honoured to be joined by Her Honour the Honourable Salma Lakhani, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta and His Honour Dr. Zaheer Lakhani, along with the Honourable Searle Turton, Minister of Children and Family Services, MLA Sarah Hoffman, MLA Sharif Haji, and City of Edmonton Councillor Mike Elliott.

Keynote Address

Dr. Rob Agostinis, respected physician, advocate, and community leader, joined us to share his story of recovery after being diagnosed with a rare autoimmune condition, anti-neurofascin syndrome. After months in acute care, Dr. Agostinis was transferred to the Glenrose, where specialized rehabilitation, including aqua therapy in the therapeutic pool, helped him rebuild this strength.

This Year’s Courage Gala Raised a Resounding $1.6 million!

5G6A5519 2 A defining moment of the evening came with  a transformational $1 million gift from the Allard Foundation, securing the naming rights of the therapeutic pool. It was a meaningful step forward for a space that plays such an important role in helping patients rebuild strength, movement, and confidence.

Together, this year’s Courage Gala raised $1.6 million in support of the therapeutic pool redevelopment, alongside the $3.25 million investment from the Government of Alberta. This collective commitment is helping move the project forward and bringing renewed possibility to patient care at the Glenrose.

This incredible milestone was made possible by a community that continues to show up — our donors, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters. Your generosity is felt in every step forward our patients take.

Join the Circle of Courage and be part of a devoted community committed to advancing patient care and supporting the redevelopment of the Glenrose therapeutic pool, here.
