Stephanie’s Story

Woman with short blonde hair, sitting with her head resting on her hand, smiling and looking straight ahead

After a car accident in 2010, Stephanie’s legs were amputated. She recently underwent a state-of-the-art surgical procedure called osseointegration which improves function and mobility to people who have had an amputation. Following the procedure, Stephanie spent 6 months at the Glenrose Hospital for rehabilitation.

Stephanie refers to osseointegration as “the best freaking thing I’ve done”.
