The Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation Research Grant program was founded in 2006 and within five short years has contributed significantly to the advancement of research activities
Western Canada's first Computer Assisted Rehabilitation Environment (CAREN) virtual reality medical treatment system designated for patient use was unveiled. The Courage in Motion (CIM) Centre, which houses the simulator, is officially opened at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, thanks to a partnership between the Canadian Forces (CF), the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation, the Government of Alberta and Alberta Health Services.
